Saturday was a truly lovely day through and through. Michael and I started the day with a lovely early lunch at Whole World, a wonderful local vegetarian restaurant that's been around forever. Delicious food + this guy?
Well, that's a pretty good start to the day in my book.
Afterward, Michael, my roommate, and I headed down to Goodale Park for ComFest. It's a community festival held in Columbus every year since 1972. This was my first year attending and I had fun, though I was thoroughly disappointed in the music line-up. I was definitely expecting to have more of my favorite local bands play, so I was let down when I saw the performance list. More bands I like played the after-party shows at local bars than the festival itself! It was still worth going though, for sure. We met up with friends, sat in the grass, drank beer in the sunshine, and relaxed.
I finally bit the bullet and bought a new Fujifilm Instax camera. I bought one back in January, but a drunk friend broke it soon after (and wouldn't you know she never offered to pay for it... grrr.) So, I've got some instant photos from the day!
My mister & I. This is my favorite picture of the two of us.
My roommate Kaylee and the newest addition to our household, Simone.
This picture of Michael & Adam cracks me up every time I look at it!
And some digital photos...
And I finished up the evening watching Michael and the band he's in, The Compressions, play a show at Carabar. All in all, it was a pretty perfect day.
Apologies for the photo-heavy post. I was really excited about having a working instant camera again and a new scanner!
